Internationally acclaimed director Mira Nair who's much awaited film, 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' is all set to release in India, recently revealed how Kate Hudson became the ultimate choice to play the role of Erica in her film.
Nair said that the first time she and Hudson met each other, they fell in love and hung out for hours, which is something she never does, PVR Pictures reported.

Nair said that even as she auditioned many other actresses for the role, Kate kept sending her love notes. u00a0Apparently, Nair was quite impressed with Hudson’s body of work and decided to cast her.
She said that Hudson too expressed her desire to be a part of the film, but unfortunately, due to the 33-year-old’s pregnancy, things couldn’t fall in place back in 2011, when they first met.
Nair revealed that the production of the film got delayed and by then Hudson had delivered a baby and was available for the shooting. She added that by that time she had cast Riz Ahmed.
The movie, which stars Hudson, Ahmed, Kiefer Sutherland, Liev Schrieber, Shabana Azmi and Om Puri, is a touching and engaging story of a young man chasing corporate success on Wall Street.
It is set to release on 10th May, 2013 in India.
