How the stars see the sun
Travel memories are incomplete without a photograph of a beautiful sunset or a sunrise. A few popular Indian faces share there favourite sunny frames from their journeys
Theatre artist Divya Palat captured the sun outlining rocky outcrops that dot the sea when she spent Valentine’s Day with her husband, Aditya Hitkari in Vietnam.
TV actress Kavita Kaushik, who captured the setting sun at Nagarkot in Nepal, says, “My favourite — my dad wearing my jersey and clicking the sun, and me clicking both of them... ‘Mere Do Suraj’.”
On a trip to Jodhpur, actor Vivek Oberoi took special permissions to book an entire fort to arrange a surprise date for his wife Priyanka. This scenic sunset added to the romance.
Like many of us, vacations spell lazy mornings in bed for VJ-DJ Nikhil Chinapa. Though, this trip was a little different, “This was in the Maldives. On a recent holiday to one of our favourite destinations, Pearl (his wife) would drag me out of bed every morning to watch the sunrise. Sleepy and reluctant as I was, you can see why it was worth it each time.”
Actress Swara Bhaskar tells us, “On a flight back to Mumbai from shooting in Romania, I peeked out of the aircraft’s window at dawn to see this stunning scape! This would probably be somewhere in Iran. It reminded me that despite all the wars, violence, injustice and terribleness, our world is so vast and so very beautiful!”
