How to be Insta-ready
A workshop this weekend will have you ace the social media game by keeping track of the latest trends and building strong content strategy
A SoBo institute that hosts regular meet-ups on all kinds of digital topics including coding design or digital marketing, is setting up a unique session to up your game when it comes to social media plans. Aleena Gandhi, founder of the Social Media Dissect page on Instagram that focuses on keeping up with the latest social media trends via its posts, will share tips to business and media students, content creators, marketing or social media enthusiasts and entrepreneurs. While Gandhi will talk about how to start your own business on Instagram, she will also share about how the page was conceived.
"The page focuses on Indian brands trends. She will talk about the amount and type of research that goes into creating content on social media, hashtag research, rehashable content and tactics to keep audience engaged," says Vir Saini, head of organic marketing at Indian Institute Of Digital Education (IIDE), who also handles the institute's Instagram page. Participants can expect to benefit from tips on how personalised content works, converting followers' feedback to improve content, how luxury marketing is different from marketing for other brands, and the importance of learning social media marketing and digital marketing today.
"It's crucial to clear your feed, especially if you are a brand. Follow only those who give you content that you can repost or those accounts that inspire you. Secondly, identify hashtags — follow those that are evergreen or ones that are upcoming and relevant to your niche. This way, you can follow the activity of that particular hashtag and you pick up information before anyone else. Lastly, make sure your grid is unique," he says, sharing a teaser on the upcoming workshop.
