A nine-year-old boy, who came to the city from the US, has tested positive for H1N1 influenza, said Dr S V Prasad, superintendent of the Chest Hospital.
Prasad said the total number of confirmed H1N1 flu cases in Hyderabad have now gone up to 13.
Currently there are six patients, including the boy, who are undergoing treatment at the hospital, while seven have been discharged.
The boy had arrived by a British Airways flight from New Jersey and was quarantined.
Meanwhile, two more suspected cases of swine flu an eight-year-old girl and a 25-year-old software employee from California have been quarantined this morning.
Currently, there are four suspected and six confirmed cases of the infection undergoing treatment at the Chest Hospital.
The US consulate yesterday met the state level health officials and enquired about the Indian-Americans who have tested positive for the swine flu virus.
