Shakti Kapoor's son and Shraddha Kapoor's brother, Siddhant Kapoor who was last seen in Shootout at Wadala is all excited about his upcoming film, a sex comedy
CS spoke to him about his work, bonding with Shraddha and personal life.

A chip of the old block
Though my dad was a big name, I was given a normal upbringing. However, people around me gave that extra importance, which made me wary of trusting people. Also, I feel that the advantage of being a star-son is outweighed by the fact that you are constantly in public and media glare. That adds up to the sense of responsibility.
I grew up watching my dad's films. I never resented him playing mean roles, because at home he was very chilled out with us. I am often asked if I will follow in his footsteps. But honestly, I am not thinking in that direction. I am fine with everything--action, emotion, drama, comedy. I will even do a 15-minute role if it’s good.
Multi-starrer debut
I am a very secure actor, and I am fine not being the lead hero. My first film Shootout at Wadala was a multi-starrer. But I had no qualms in accepting the character role of a sharp-shooter. I had a great experience working with John Abraham, Manoj Bajpai, Tushar and even Anil uncle (Kapoor). Also, I wanted to work with Sanjay Gupta because he portrays his heroes as stylishly as Yash Chopra portrayed his heroines (laughs).
On the anvil
My next film is Sid Jain’s adult comedy. It is a situational comedy, which will make you laugh. I play a loser who along with his friend (played by Vir Das) sells sex toys for a living. It's a completely whacked out concept and should work with the audience. I am also doing Anurag Basu’s next, which should release by November. Besides this, I am playing the lead in another film for which I start shooting in a week’s time. There were talks of a remake of Satte Pe Satta and I had even auditioned for the role that my father had done in the original. But things have not moved ahead.
Sibling revelry
More than brother-sister, Shraddha and I are the best of friends. We discuss everything and I even consult her before anyone when I get a film offer. Yes, like any older brother, I am protective about her because my sister is beautiful, talented and a lovely person. When I saw Aashiqui-2, I was crying like a baby. The tears were of joy and pride.
Wow women
I have been surrounded by strong women in my family -- my aunts (Padmini, Tejaswini), my mom, my sister and my girlfriend. There has been an inherent respect for them as well as being protective for them. But more than that, I am buddies with them. u00a0
