I am not under pressure as Pak coach: Dav Whatmore
Pakistan coach Dav Whatmore is under no pressure guiding the arch-rivals in the bilateral series against India
“There is no pressure on me as Pakistan coach as I have already worked with players belonging to India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and find them no different from each other. Their principles are pretty much the same,” he said.
But the Australia coach stressed on the consistency factor. “We have shown our skills well in the past. We have also done well. What we need to do is to be a bit more consistent in our game and that’s what we are looking to do. We have played India in ICC events, but this will be my first experience, something which I am looking forward to,” he felt.
Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez is confident that he can motivate his team against India.
“Dhoni is far more experienced captain than me and Misbah-ul Haq. But having said that every captain has to face challenges.
“My aim will be to see that my side plays without any pressure and express themselves as much they can,” Hafeez said after a long practice session at the at Chinnaswamy stadium yesterday.
The tour will kick off with the Twenty20 fixture here tomorrow.
