Former World No 1 tennis star Caroline Wozniacki was among three females sportspersons, who shot for Sports Illustrated's latest Swimsuit Edition, wearing nothing but body paint. Olympic alpine skiing champion Lindsey Vonn and Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Ronda Rousey are the other two who feature in the SI edition released last Monday.

This is the second time Wozniacki appeared in the swimsuit issue, having done so last year. And the current World No 19 said that she thoroughly cherished the body painting aspect.

"Very few women get asked to be in the swimsuit issue, and I'm really proud to be one of so many beautiful and empowering women. "Obviously, this year's shoot was focussing very much on healthy bodies and different body types and I'm proud to be one of those healthy bodies," Wozniacki told The Washington Post.

The 25-year-old insisted she enjoyed the experience nevertheless. "It (15-hour shoot) was amazing. They (Sports Illustrated team) make you feel great. It's a fun shoot. It's a beautiful location. It's warm. It's nice. There are a lot of things to love about the shoot.

"I mean, if I get invited, I'll do it any year. Every year," said Wozniacki, admitting she did feel naked initially. "I felt totally naked... but later when I looked in the mirror, it's the weirdest thing — I feel like I have plenty of clothes on," she added.

The photo shoot this year was at Petit St Vincent, an island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The Danish tennis ace said that she initially thought she would be able to sleep on the shoot in the Caribbean while artists worked with colours across her body.

However, she was in for a surprise, given the shoot lasted a good 15 hours (from 11pm to 2:3pm the next day) and she ended having to stand through most of the time.
