Producer decides to go one step ahead in order to convince the actor to give a nod for 3D animated version of 'Andaaz Apna Apna'

Considering Aamir Khan’s perfectionist image, producer Siddharth Jain is aware that he’ll have to try harder to get the actor to dub for his 3D animated version of Andaaz Apna Apna. Fortunately for him, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon Thadani and Shakti Kapoor have already confirmed to lend their voices for the characters based on them.

“I’ve already spoken to Salman, Raveena and Shakti and they said they’ll be glad to work it out. I’ll need them only later this August-September and I’m sure of them agreeing to dub for their characters. The only person I’ll have to try harder for is Aamir,” points out the producer, adding that he’ll first show the film to Aamir who essayed Amar in the Rajkumar Santoshi directed cult comedy.

Jain adds, “If he likes it, I’m sure he will (agree to do it). I’ll be finalising things in another month or two. I will be in a better position to talk about it then,” he said. However, it also remains to be seen how much of the original compositions they retain in the 3D animated version. “We’ll have a new title track for the promotions.u00a0

Besides which, we’ll be incorporating the original tracks with a newer contemporary sound,” reveals Siddharth, adding that the film, with a budget of Rs 15 crore, including prints and advertising, will be targeted at adults as much as the children. He reasons, “Primarily because the cult film has a huge following among adults too, though animation is generally said to be targeted at children.”

The movie that took a year to script and as much time to translate into animation, will release in the first quarter of 2013. “While we’re also focusing on the animation, to ensure that it’s good enough, we know that people will be coming in expecting the humour at par with the original,” he promises.u00a0
