I love watching horror films for the thrill factor: Aparna Bajpai

A dream debut
Since this was my first Hindi film, I felt like a fresher just out of college. The best thing about my debut was that it was a Vikram Bhatt’s production. I love watching horror films for the thrill factor. While shooting, my co-stars would be freaked out and would refuse to go alone anywhere and I would take advantage of the situation by scaring the hell out of them.

Love for regional cinema
I began my career with Tamil films and even learned the language and their dance form. Though I had many offers, I refused most of them because I wanted to do quality films and also because I was concentrating on a career in Bollywood. It’s not easy to make it in Hindi films, its an daily struggle where besides maintaining our good looks, we have to handle the mental stress of hunting for good work. Probably, even the top actresses go through this dilemma.u00a0

No struggle period
I have been fortunate that I haven’t had to struggle hard. While studying, I was spotted by this South director who approached me for a Tamil film. While I was in Mumbai, I was called for an audition. Since I was unwell, I didn’t go for it. As luck would have it, they called back, and before I knew it, I was selected for my first Hindi film. Thankfully, things have just fallen into my lap. I never had to go searching for work.

Dream directors
I love the films made by Anurag Kashyap and would love to work with him in the future. I am also a hardcore fan of Prabhudeva and Rohit Shetty’s films. As far as actors go, I dream of working with all the top stars of tinsel town. I have a long way to go.u00a0
