I'm confused about my Sri Lankan girlfriend
Dear Diana, I'm a 25-year-old guy who has fallen for a girl from Sri Lanka. I don't know how to go about it.
She’s still studying so understandably she can’t quit everything out there and come here for me. As for me, I’m basically from Delhi but currently working in Mumbai. I can’t even imagine settling down in Sri Lanka. Should I assume that our virtual love is just a figment of our imagination and get on with our respective lives? We’ve been in touch with each other for more than a year now. I’m still confused about the way our future could be.
First of all you need to clear your muddled mind. You say you love her so then you need to decide whether you want to take the relationship to the next level. Love can transcend geographical boundaries. There are so many marriages that happen between people who live in different countries. This means one of them has to relocate. You say you can’t see yourself living in Sri Lanka and she can’t come here. Then it looks like an impossible union!
