England T20 skipper Graeme Swann has revealed that he received death threats on Twitter following the team's 0-5 ODI whitewash in India.

Swann was the target of abuse and vitriol on his Twitter feed but said he could almost understand the anger.

"Although I don't condone death threats on Twitter, I could almost understand it when I had a couple of hundred people threatening all manner of retribution after Tuesday's match," Swann said. "Not everyone in cyberworld has a perspective," said Swann.
