'I think it's going to be an unhappy marriage...'

Updated on: 13 March,2013 11:53 PM IST  |
Dear Diana |

Dear Diana, I got married three months ago to a wealthy guy from our community. Although I didn't have an affair or something before this, I feel very listless in this marriage.

'I think it's going to be an unhappy marriage...'

I’m definitely not happy and it has hardly anything to do with my husband. He’s a jolly good guy and tries his best to keep me in high spirit. But I just don’t seem to gel with his personality. We are two different people altogether. Should I go and tell him what exactly is going in my head? Can I consider asking a divorce or is it too early? Should I consider counselling?

Dear Ashni,
I think you are unnecessary creating a problem in your head when there isn’t any. It takes time to settle down in a marriage. So give it time before taking any drastic step. Many girls feel extremely unsettled in the first few months of marriage. This is but natural because suddenly you are staying with a new set of people. It will take time to bond with them and get attached to your hubby’s family. Your husband is going out of his way to make you comfortable, so what is the problem then? Just take it easy and after a while such thoughts will banish from your head.

Diana will solve it!
