Thanks to fine all-round performance by Darshan Bhange, IES English (Bandra) defeated IES (Kandivli) by eight wickets to sail into the semi-finals of the Poinsur Gymkhana Inter-school Cricket Tournament at their ground at Kandivli yesterday.

Offspinner Darshan bagged four for 12 to restrict the Kandivli outfit to 126 for nine off the allotted 30 overs.

Darshan then opened the innings to score a quickfire 31 before he was caught. Abhishek Surve (34 n.o.) and Sanket Kashli (26 n.o.) then saw their side through.
