Introducing Dr Love, who solves your relationship riddles in a confusing digital age

My girlfriend wants me to commit to a serious relationship because we have been together for almost a year now. I don't know what she means though. I don't want to commit to just one relationship. What if there's someone better out there?
I don't understand. You have been together for a year already, but still believe there is someone better. There may always be someone better, but that's beside the point. The two of you have been together for a year because you obviously like being with each other. If you don't want to take this relationship as seriously as your girlfriend obviously does, you're being unfair to her. If you can't commit, tell her you can't and move on, so she has a chance to move on too. I would like to say, however, that you may figure out someday that you had the perfect person in your life all along, so do think this through carefully before acting.

My boss is a woman who is younger than I am. I don't have a problem with her gender, but it upsets me that she's younger and gets to tell me what to do. I don't know if I'm being childish about this, but it's affecting my ability to work at the office. Should I quit?
You say you don't have a problem with her gender, but you mention it twice. You obviously are annoyed about a woman dictating terms to you as much as you are about the fact that she happens to be younger. So, yes, you're being incredibly childish. It's your problem, not hers. Someone above you obviously has more faith in her abilities than yours. You should learn to deal with it. If you can't come to terms with that possibility, maybe you should quit. I would also like to point out that she is probably your boss because she is more efficient, which happens when you focus on your job instead of your prejudices.
