While the US consulate has issued an advisory, warning its citizens against visiting India in the wake of the first anniversary of 26/11 attacks, former US president George W Bush has made plans to be in Mumbai over the weekend.

"Bush is in India to deliver a lecture at a privately organised two-day leadership summit on October 30-31 in Delhi and will be in Mumbai over the weekend," said a source from the US consulate.

In Mumbai, Bush and his team will stay on the 12th and 13th floor of the Taj Mahal Hotel.

But Bush seems to have ignored his country's advisory, which states, "The US Government continues to receive information that terrorist groups may be planning attacks in India.

Citing the November 2008 attacks in Mumbai, the consulate in its advisory also informed its citizens that
hotels and other public places are attractive targets for terrorist groups.

Bush's Security

BUSH will be guarded by two police inspectors, four assistant PIs, six sub-inspectors and 58 constables. Other than this, over 30 police personnel will guard the Taj.

Attack warning

The recent US consulate warning comes days after the FBI busted a plot by Pakistan-based terrorist outfit LeT to carry out attacks in India using an American.

The FBI, on Wednesday, accused David Coleman Headley (49), who was arrested earlier this month with a Canadian of Pakistan origin, of being in close contact with LeT leaders and helping the outfit in planning a terror attack in India.
