The Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) will elect a new president at its Special General Body Meeting on November 5 following the resignation of RK Shetty.
Shetty cited personal reasons for his resignation before the IHF announced its plans for the elections.
PTI reported that IHF Secretary General Ashok Mathur, in a letter to itsu00a0members, said: “Subsequent to the resignation of RK Shetty, President IHF, it has been decided to add theu00a0election of president as one of the agenda to the notice dated 18th October 2012 already circulated.

“As such the election of the president will also take place on the Special General Body Meeting of the IHF on Monday, the 5th November 2012 at 11:30am.”
Nominations will be filed on October 31 and November 1 before a scrutiny process takes place.
