Like every year, the ISKCON temple, Juhu, is organising Radha Krishna Utsav 2017, to celebrate Janmashtami. The five-day culture fest features music and dance veterans, including legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, bhajan icon Anup Jalota, dancer-actor Hema Malini, singer Madhushree, singer-composer Vijayaa Shanker, classical vocalist Shounak Abhisheki and bhajan singer Mahesh Sharma.

Malini's performance will be a homage to Lord Krishna. Her dance ballet, Radha Rasabihari will depict her unconditional love for the Lord. "It comes straight from my heart. My love for Krishna is eternal and natural," she says.

For Pandit Chaurasia, it is a celebration that he has participated in, for 20 years "II am looking forward to this festival, which will be followed by my performance at Vrindaban Gurukul."

The festival has nostalgia value for Jalota. "The first time I sang my most popular bhajan, Aisi Laagi Lagan, was at ISKCON Juhu, years ago. Now, the song is known in every household. I wait for a year to perform at my favourite festival, and Kharghar temples," he says. Madhushree, who sang the track Kanha Soja Zara in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, is looking forward to presenting the song at the event. "Being able to record a song like Soja Zara was an honour, and now, to be to perform it at an auspicious platform makes me happy," says the singer.
