Ind vs Eng: Kapil Dev, a big fan of James Anderson

Southampton: Former captain Kapil Dev is a great fan of James Anderson.
"What a bowler he is," Kapil told mid-day yesterday. "Every time he comes he looks like taking wickets. He is just a fantastic bowler."
Anderson, who has taken 364 wickets in 96 Tests, is set to become England's top wicket-taker in the longest format of the game, and Kapil is happy for his achievements.
He said: "I am very happy that he will become the No 1 England bowler soon. He is a compete package. He has everything: speed, a smooth run-up, and every other quality.
He uses the crease very nicely. He can give the ball a lift. He swings the ball both ways. He has an effective bouncer, superb slower ones. What more could one ask for?"

Anderson, however, has got little support from the other bowlers in the team and there's danger that he could end up getting over-bowled.
Australian legend Shane Warne recently said that he feels sorry for Anderson because he has to just keep bowling. Kapil believes this is something that skipper Alastair Cook must guard against. But does he have the option?
Meanwhile, a minute's silence was observed in honour of cricketers who died during World War I that took place a century ago.
The family of Colin Blythe, a former England and Kent spinner, was there at the ground yesterday. He was killed in random shelling during the war in Passendale, Belgium, fighting for Britain.
