A laser show that was going to be held in Mumbai to celebrate Independence Day on August 14 and August 15 has been cancelled apparently due to demise of Union Minister and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

The show was to be jointly organized by the Maharashtra State Road Development Authority(MSRDC) , Traffic Police department and the toll operator of the Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL).

Speaking to MiD DAY, an MSRDC official requesting anonymity, said, “We had plans of organizing a laser show in the BWSL on August 14 and August 15 , but due to the demise of Union Minister and Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh we have cancelled the laser shows.”
