India 'A' strike, but South Africa fight back
India 'A' restricted South Africa 'A' to 231 for six on the opening day of the second unofficial Test here on Saturday.
Pacer Ishwar Pandey and spinner Parvez Rasool claimed two wickets apiece to rattle the hosts, but after being 128 for six at tea, SA were rescued by Wayne Parnell (64) and Simon Harmer (68) through a 134-run, unbroken partnership for the seventh wicket.
Parnell hit eight fours in his 172-ball unbeaten innings while Harmer slammed nine fours and a six. The visitors are desperate to win this ‘Test’ after losing the first in emphatic fashion.
