India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur scored an important half-century and steered side home home against Bangladesh to secure a five-wicket win in the first women's ODI here yesterday

Earlier, left-arm spinner Ekta Bisht bagged three wickets to restrict Bangladesh to a modest total of 194 for nine in 50 overs.


Bangladeshi skipper Salma Khatun played a lone hand and remained not out on 75 to give their bowlers something to fight for.


Rumana Ahmed (38) and Lata Mondal (39) shared a stand of 57 runs for the third wicket but they failed to carry on. u00a0 u00a0
