The Indian cricket team hasn't toured Sri Lanka since 2010, but in the last 10 years, the Emerald Isles has hosted India in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010

Mahendra Singh Dhoni & Co may have to brace themselves for yet another Sri Lanka tour which will witness five one-day internationals and two Twenty20 internationals from July 22 to August 7.

According to a source, the Indian cricket board is keen on three ODIs and a couple of Twenty20 games.

The Indians last paraded their skills in Sri Lanka for the 2010 triangular series whose honours went to the hosts. In the final, Sri Lanka scored 299 for eight before restricting the Indians to 225. New Zealand was the third team in the competition.

India take on New Zealand for a home series on their return from Sri Lanka.

The ODI series in Sri Lanka gives the hosts a chance to prove a point to their 2011 World Cup final opponents.
