India's top cueist Pankaj Advani, who has won a total of 16 world titles across different formats, reveals the fitness secret to his consistent performance at the highest level.

"I became strong after eating a lot of spinach (palak) paneer, which contains proteins. Homemade food really helps me keep fit," Advani told mid-day on the sidelines of a press conference here yesterday. The 31-year-old cueist from Bangalore is a fitness freak.

"People think that cueists need to be strong mentally only and with a good concentration level, they can play this game easily. But that's not true.

"You have to be physically fit to keep yourself mentally healthy. We need to take good care of our back, neck and legs," he added.
