Good fielding, like anything else worthwhile starts with hard work. It is a more natural thing than either bowling or batting and the rewards of hard, enjoyable practice are quicker to see.

One needs to know one can hit the stumps when one wants to. You must feel sure in your mind that given that crucial chance in a match, you will hit the stumps nine times out of ten.
