India's Manavjit Singh Sandhu failed to enter the final of the men's trap event as he finished 16th in the qualification round of the 2012 London Games here at the Royal Artillery Barracks yesterday.

The former World Champion got a total score of 119 with an average of 0.952. His best performance came in the fourth round where he had a perfect score of 25.


Earlier in the day, Gagan Narang and Sanjeev Rajput crashed out of the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event in the qualifying stage. Narang finished a lowly 20th and Rajput ended 26th.
