Awesome foursome: MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Rohit Sharma are the only four surviving members from the team that won the World T20 in South Africa in 2007.
Are you counting? Except for Pawan Negi, every member of the team has a surname with either five or six letters. Dhoni, Raina, Kohli, Sharma, Nehra, Jadeja. The list goes on...
T20 or T30? As many as five members of the Indian team are above the age of 30. MS Dhoni (34), Shikhar Dhawan (30), Harbhajan Singh (35), Ashish Nehra (36) and Yuvraj Singh (34). Two others, Suresh Raina and Ravichandran Ashwin, are 29.

Twin reasons to celebrate: On the day the World T20 squad was announced, one of its key members, Ravindra Jadeja got engaged to Rajkot-based mechanical engineer Reeva Solanki.
Injury free, at last? Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has not played a single international match since the World Cup semi-final in Sydney on March 26, 2015. Shami picked up 17 wickets in that tournament.
Now you play, now you don’t: Ajinkya Rahane, who won a close contest with Manish Pandey for the seventh batsman’s spot, has not featured in a T20 international since July 19, 2015. Incredibly, he was the captain in that match against Zimbabwe.
Not a happy birthday: Medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who turned 26 on Friday, was ignored.
