International choreographer Michaels joins DID judges’ panel, will also train contestants
Internationally acclaimed choreographer Mia Michaels is set to join the judging panel of Dance India Dance 6. Taking to the role of a 'challenger' on the show, Michaels will test the participants' skills. She will also train them.
A source tells mid-day, "Mia arrived in India yesterday. She will shoot for two episodes. Given her background, she will certainly provide a tough challenge for the face-off rounds. She will not only test the contestants' dancing prowess, but also conduct training sessions for them. She hopes to help them up their skills after her classes." Prevous episodes have seen the likes of Ahmed Khan and Saroj Khan, as challengers.
The Emmy Award-winner started learning dance from her father at the age of three. She is proficient in jazz, tap, contemporary and ballet. However, the form that she will showcase on the show is undecided.
