Rising Pune Supergiant wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni is now a 'Kailashpati'. On Wednesday night, the Pune Supergiant had reason to celebrate as his team beat Kolkata Knight Riders in Eden Gardens. But he also has another reason to celebrate. He has a new house and it's even bigger and better than the one he's livingi n right now. 


Dhoni grew up in a small one-room house in MECON Colony in Doranda area of Ranchi, after all his father Paan Singh Dhoni worked with MECON.


But, now the 35-year-old cricketer's parents don't have to worry about living in constricted areas.

Dhoni has a new address in Ranchi, a farmhouse -- ‘Kailashpati’ -- where his wife Sakshi, daugher Ziva and parents -- Paan Singh and Devaki Devi, have shifted to recently.

Akshaya Tritiya is an auspicious day for Hindus and it fell on April 28 this year. And Dhoni's family decided it was the perfect day to shift to their new home.

Dhoni and his family ws previously living in a three-storied bungalow. Dhoni, who is busy with his IPL commitments, may have missed the housewarming party, but he's sure to enjoy the news house once the ICC Champions Trophy is over and he has some free time.

Dhoni had announced that hew was building a new residence on his 2016 birthday. He had even posted a picture of him planting a tree on July 7, 2016.

‘Kailashpati’ is on Ranchi's Ring Road and is spread across seven acres, The new bungalow has an indoor stadium, swimming pool, a field for net practice, an ultra-modern gym. The report says that the compound will also house a five-star hotel.

Interestingly, the former India captain continus to be one of the most popular cricketers in the country. IPL introduced special emojis on Twitter and Dhoni's is the most popular.

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir is second followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli in third. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma is fourth, ahead of RPS all-rounder Ben Stokes, who completes the top-five.
