However, it ended in a bit of a disappointment for her as Sarfaraz remained padded up thanks to total dominance from AB de Villiers and skipper Virat Kohli against Mumbai Indians yesterday at the Wankhede Stadium.

It was Tabassum’s maiden visit to a cricket match. Seated in the MCA Pavilion, Sarfaraz’s parents, his brothers Musheer and Moin, and his club mates were in full support for Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Sarfaraz. Father Naushad had prepared RCB jerseys that had No 97 and Sarfaraz written on the back.
Sarfaraz won accolades for his 21-ball unbeaten 45 against Rajasthan Royals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bangalore on April 29.
Consolation
There was some consolation in the end for Sarfaraz’s supporters after the right-hander was one of the three RCB batsmen to participate in the Super Sixes challenge.
