India pacer Ashok Dinda, who was playing the Ranji Trophy quarter-final against Madhya Pradesh at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday, expressed his displeasure over not getting picked by an Indian Premier League outfit in the first round of Saturday's auction at Bangalore. Dinda was picked by Rising Pune Supergiants for his base price of R50 lakh in the second round of bidding.

"I never thought that I would remain unsold (in the first round), but it's all about luck… it's crazy actually. I had bowled around 60 overs in two innings (against Madhya Pradesh), so was just thinking about how to bowl MP out and take some rest. I was not even thinking about today's auction. In our dressing room too, we were only thinking about the match. I came to know about it (being picked by Pune eventually) after the day's play," said Ashok Dinda.

"I have been playing in the IPL for the last nine years," Dinda merely said, which may be an indication of his disappointment as a senior IPL player. Dinda has played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
