Miffed over Hollywood actress-singer Jennifer Lopez's long list of unessential demands, organisers of this season's Indian Premier League (IPL) opening ceremony have reportedly said 'no thanks' to the 'Waiting for Tonight' star.

The 43-year-old — whose unending list of demands included a private plane and dozens of hotel rooms for her huge entourage, including her stylists, assistants and chef — has instead been replaced by rapper Pitbull for Tuesday’s event in Kolkata which will also see Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif perform, according to a report in The Sun.

A source privy to the list told the British tabloid: “The demands were outrageous. She effectively priced herself out of the event. It was idiotic because the audience for this event is huge.”

However, Lopez’s spokesperson claimed that it was the singer who turned down the lucrative deal to perform for nearly 60 million viewers because she was busy recording an album.

Meanwhile, the story on The Sun’s website attracted a huge response with several readers ridiculing the singer-actress.u00a0“The funniest part of all this is this over-rated, over-produced, auto tuned average talent has started to believe her own PR nonsense! Her albums are laughable if you could stand more that a few minutes of the tripe!” a reader called ‘CarlRobbins’ commented.

‘Chimpychops’ said, “Same old story: they all start from nothing, get famous and totally lose the plot. They all become divas and think they are gods.”u00a0‘The-man-is-here’ wondered, “Why negotiate your greedy demands if you are busy with recording a new album? Face it, you are too greedy and a liar.”
