It's SRT vs SRK at the Wankhede!

Many KKR fans had painted SRK on their face while MI supporters had SRT written on it. There was a huge placard depicting a face-off between Shah Rukh and Tendulkar. However, for cricket lovers SRT vs SRK battle seemed nonsensical. After all, Shah Rukh is an actor and this is a clash between cricketers.u00a0

Mumbai loves Malinga!

Lasith Malinga’s popularity in Mumbai is soaring with every match. Yesterday, in Mumbai Indians’ last home match of the IPL-V, the Sri Lankan was perhaps cheered the most. MI’s pace spearhead was the toast of the crowd during the practice session a few hours before their Indian Premier League match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium yesterday.

Lasith Malinga

Malinga was clearly the most-followed cricketer during the net session. The crowd would express their disappointment when some of his swinging yorkers missed the stumps. And when he finally knocked down the wicket, there was a huge roar from the crowd.

As expected, the crowd went bonkers when Malinga came on to bowl in the fifth over of the innings. Malinga has been able to gather immense support from Mumbai fans which no other foreign cricketer has managed to do. It remains to be seen whether Mumbai Indians will go all out to retain him in the next player auction.
