Even as Juventus’ goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon would have not yet got over the celebrations of his team’s recent Italian Serie A title win, comes the unfortunate news of his split with wife Alena Seredova.

Vanity Fair (Italian edition) has reported that the Italian goalkeeper’s three-year marriage with model Seredova has come to an end. Buffon and former Miss Czech Republic, Seredova (36) have been together for nine years but tied the knot only three years ago. They have two sons, Louis Thomas (6) and David Lee (4).
Reason unknown
While the reason for the split is not known, news of a rift between the couple first emerged in January, when Vanity Fair had reported that the couple are having differences and are living separately. At that time, 35-year-old Buffon had said: “Since I’ve never spoken about my personal life to the public, media and I don’t intend to start now, I really do not have much to add to all this. Such news has never bothered me because they’re things that slip through my shoulders without struggles.”

While Seredova recently posted pictures of her Easter holiday with her sons in New York on Twitter, Buffon is hundreds of miles away, living in an apartment owned by Juventus boss Richard Grande Stevens in Turin.
Model and actor Seredova has previously been in relationships with footballer Christian Vieri and actor Eduardo Costa.
