New trend of dancing has people putting on headphones to do away with thumping music

Party deadlines and noise decibels are the least of their worries. Reason? This band of party-goers believe in 'noiseless' parties where revellers put on their headphones to groove to their favourite tunes. All that dancers need to do is hit the dance floor, put on their headphone and get plugged to the right kind of music.
Imran Rehma, an event organiser, said, "This trend is picking up among professionals from the IT sector where partying late has become a common phenomena. It's still a very new trend in the city compared to some party places in Goa."
Although head phones are expensive, organisers seem to prefer them as then there are no hassles linked to loud music, such as causing disturbance to others.
Rajesh Mehta, an event organiser, said that he has organised a couple of parties based on the headphones concept in the past six months. "Companies like the idea as then they do not have to deal with the police about issues of loud music. Those present can enjoy the music without disturbing anybody else and they can also continue late."
What is even more interesting is that often there are as many as three DJ's playing various genres of music. People can choose their preferred music and dance to it.u00a0"This is very appealing to the party-goers because they are not forced to listen to a particular genre of music. They can listen to different music because the headphone has buttons for changing between the genres," said Mehta.
Snehal Gupta, who works with an IT company, said that she had first heard about the concept in Goa. "I recently had the chance to attend such a party in the city with a friend of mine. It was fun because I love English music and I could listen to it. Usually, while partying, the crowd prefers Bollywood numbers. I had a gala time."
Abu Rajeev another IT professional said, "We have such an arrangement at private parties in neighborhoods where there are chances that residents may otherwise complain of noise. This way, we can party till late without any complains."u00a0
Another IT company held such a party to celebrate the success of a project. "We liked the idea of the event organiser and went ahead with it," the HR manager of the company said. "Our employees who are mostly young and they loved it. Even though it was pretty expensive it's okay to organise such parties once a while."
