Jagdale shocks Aditya Agarwal 3-1

Mahesh Jagdale, with breaks of 62 and 49 in the third and fourth frames, defeated Aditya Agrawal 3-1 in group 'F' of the Matunga Gymkhana Invitation billiards at the Matunga Gymkhana here yesterday. Mahesh, who had earlier beaten Nishit Chandan, won 68-100, 100-92, 100-53, 100-66.

However, both are virtually sure of qualifying for the next stage. World No 3 Dhruv Sitwala did not waste much time in beating Sanjiv Bijlani 100-75, 100-42, 100-20 in Group ‘A’.u00a0

Devendra Joshi won 3-1 against Hitesh Kotwani. Except for the third frame, which Kotwani took, it was Joshi all the way as he won the tie 100-12, 100-55, 72-100, 100-40.u00a0
