The first look of Salman Khan's upcoming film seeks inspiration from Hollywood flick 'Pay It Forward'
Salman Khan’s upcoming film Jai Ho is the Hindi remake of A R Murugadoss’s 2006 Telugu film Stalin which in turn was inspired from the 2000 Hollywood film Pay it Forward starring Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt.

Now that the first look of Sallu’s film is out, the trailer seems also inpired by the Hollywood flick. A cursory look at the trailer shows that like the Pay it Forward character scribbling what appears like a family tree, Sallu too is doing likewise with his doodles.
Says a source, “The beginning of the Jai Ho trailer is a direct lift from Pay It Forward.”
When asked about the similarities, director Sohail Khan replied via SMS, “I am only aware of Stalin and currently I am busy with the film’s post production.”
Incidentally, Pay It Forward based on the novel of the same name by Catherine Ryan Hyde. Directed by Mimi Leder, it starred Haley Joel Osment as a boy who launches a goodwill movement, Helen Hunt plays his single mother and Kevin Spacey his social-studies teacher.
