James Franco releasing poetry book
After trying his luck in acting, "127 Hours" star James Franco is adding to his growing resume by creating his own book of poetry.
The 34-year-old actor, who has dabbled in everything from teaching to moviemaking, has penned a collection of lyrical verses called 'Directing Herbert White', reported the New York Times.
The piece will be about his work on adapting Frank Bidart's poem Herbert White into a short film. "(It will be) about my relationship to that poem, Frank's relationship to the poem as I have learned about it from knowing Frank and the adaptation process," Franco said.
The multi-talented actor, who has previously played authors Allen Ginsberg and Hart Crane on the big screen, certainly has the credentials for the project. He holds a master of fine arts in poetry from North Carolina's Warren Wilson College. The book is due to be released in April 2014.
