New Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah, India's renowned fast bowler tasted success in a relatively short time frame. However, a recent video shared on social networking site Twitter by Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians showed a different side to him during his humble days.

In the video, Jasprit Bumrah recalled his early struggling days and said tough times makes one strong. The video features Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani addressing the audience at the Sports Business Summit in London on Monday.

In the video, Nita Ambani says, "Talent can come from anywhere and reach the pinnacle of success. I would like to share with you the transformational journey of a young boy who was discovered by Mumbai Indians from a small town of India." The video also has Jasprit Bumrah's mother Daljit recalling a tragic incident during his childhood: "When he was five-year-old, I lost my husband." Watch the full video below.

Jasprit Bumrah also recalled saying, "After that, we couldn't afford anything. I had one pair of shoes. I used to have one pair of T-shirts. I used to wash them and use it again and again." "So, as a child, you know you hear stories that sometimes these things happen that some people come and watch you and you get picked up like this. But it actually happened," he adds.

Jasprit's mother also went on to share how she felt when she saw him on television for the first time during the Indian Premier League. She said that she could not stop crying. "The first time when I saw him in that IPL match on TV, I couldn't stop crying. He has seen me struggle financially and physically also," she said.

Jasprit Bumrah said, "All these tough times make you strong because you've seen tougher days before." Bumrah is currently not part of the Indian squad against South Africa as he is ruled out due to injury and was replaced by Umesh Yadav.
