Jessica Simpson 'stressed' by 50-pound weight loss target
Jessica Simpson's friends have revealed that the actress is 'overwhelmed' by the 4-million-dollar Weight Watchers deal that requires her to shed 50 pounds in 5 months
According to sources, she’s physically exhausted by her mission to reach a target weight of 130 pounds. She is also reportedly reluctant to leave the side of her seven-week-old daughter Maxwell Drew. “She doesn’t want to leave her baby.” “Sometimes she just starts crying. It’s hard for her,” the friend said.
The pressure, however, didn’t stop Simpson from hitting the gym Friday. The star, who reportedly reached 210 pounds during her pregnancy, confirmed in late May that she had reached a deal to be the next celebrity spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
The deal comes with a strict time limit for shedding the pounds, forcing Simpson to hit celebrity trainer Harley Pasterak’s private gym about five times in the past 14 days. Simpson is also sticking to a new diet of protein-pack meals and home-mixed juices, according to People Magazine.
Her new eating habits are a far cry from her pregnancy diet, which consisted of buttered Pop-Tarts, Cap’n Crunch, Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, brownies and chocolate-chip cookie dough.
“I had a great pregnancy. Eating and not having to worry too much about it has been fun. Taking a break from working out has definitely been fun,” Simpson told Us Weekly back in March. “But I’m ready for it to be over. I’m ready to have my body back!” she said.
