Google, the search engine giant, introduced a new doodle to celebrate the birth anniversary of legendary cricketer, John Wisden

John Wisden gets a Google Doodle for his 187th birth anniversary

John Wisden was born on 5th September 1826 and was an English cricketer with career statistics of 187 first-class matches and three county cricket teams – Middlesex, Kent and Sussex.

Besides, that he is famously known for introducing the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack, also known as ‘The Bible of Cricket’ in the year 1864.


John Wisden died on 5th April 1884 due to cancer.

John Wisden scored a total of 4,140 runs and claimed 1,109 wickets in first-class cricketing career.
