Mourinho said it doesn't make sense to continue with the old players if they can't win the matches, adding that he would instead give opportunity to the young players.

The 52-year-old, however, said that it is difficult to win the Premier League and the Champions League, but not impossible, the Mirror reported.

Mourinho said that the sole problem of his team is that they are not performing in the continuous way.

He also revealed that the players have no problem physically or tactically, adding that the problem lies in attitude perspective of some players which is why the team is suffering.

Earlier, Chelsea settled with 2-2 draw against Newcastle in their Premier League clash, thanks to strikes from Brazilian duo Ramires and Willian, to narrowly avoid defeat at Newcastle.

Chelsea are 14th in the league table with eight points while Newcastle are languishing down at 19th after seven games.

Chelsea will next lock horns with Southampton on October 3 at Stamford Bridge.
