Argentina tennis star Juan Martin Del Potro became a hero after helping a Wimbledon fan who collapsed due to the rising temperature yesterday.
Del Potro (28) halted his second-round match with Latvia's Ernests Gulbis on Court 3 to pass a woman in her 60s a bottle of water."
While the old lady was being treated, another fan fainted in the opposite stand. The elderly woman was rescued by two soldiers after collapsing during Brit star Kyle Edmund's loss on Centre Court.
"The doctors helped a lady. We were scared about the situation," Del Potro was quoted as saying by The Sun.
"We can confirm that around 60 people were treated today for heat related symptoms due to the hot weather and the majority of these were between 1.30 and 3pm," a spokesperson from St John Ambulance told the British tabloid.
