Spend this Sunday on a smooth jazz note as German saxophonist, arranger and composer Rainer Pusch plays with famous Indian jazz artists like Ranjit Barot, Sanjay Divecha and Karl Peters in a musical extravaganza you just cannot afford to pass off.

The concertu00a0 that will feature Rainer Pusch on the saxophone, Ranjit Barot on drums, Sanjay Divecha on guitar and Karl Peters on bass promises to be a spontaneous expression of the collaboration of musicians, who wouldu00a0 intend to enhance jazz as a genre with their personal inputs.
Not trying to infuse jazz with any other kind of music like blues and reggae, the concert seems to be an attempt to bring the very essence of jazz. According to Pusch, who has played tenor and soprano saxophone with various international and Indian artistes like Pony Poindexter, George Coleman, M Balamuralikrishna among others, the best part about jazz is that it gives the musicians a lot of freedom. Confessing that musical inspiration comes from his regular interaction with people and is an extension of his life and personality, Pusch says, "The best thing about jazz is that you don't need a language to play it.
Whether it is in China or India, the interaction is effortless as the notes bind you and not the language." They don't intend to mix harmonies and a raga, what these musicians plan to do is to transcend all barriers through music and give the Garden City a deep and authentic sound of jazz.
