Prithvi Shaw, who was not in the playing XI last week, scored a well-compiled 80 for Parkophene Cricketers in a ‘B’ Division match of Dr HD Kanga Cricket League against Shivaji Park Youngsters Sports Club at Parsee Gymkhana yesterday.

Playing his first match the Kanga League season, Shaw, batting at number four, scored fluently as Parkophene declared their first innings at 179 for six. In reply, Shivaji Park Youngsters were 129 for six as the match ended in a draw. Kshitij Kanade remained unbeaten on 44.

Shaw, who had a quiet season with the Mumbai under-16 team, said: “I am very happy to get some runs under my belt. I aim to score big runs and contribute to the team’s performance.”
