'Brothers', produced by Dharma Productions, is an official Hindi remake of 2011 Hollywood release 'Warrior' that essayed story of two estranged brothers.

"Today audience prefer films that are entertaining.

Content matters a lot irrespective of the genre. I am happy that at Dharma Productions we are making all kinds of films.

We are excited about 'Brothers' and proud to be associated with Akshay Kumar and Jackie Shroff," Karan told reporters at the trailer launch of "Brothers" here today.

In the film, Akshay and actor Sidharth Malhotra play on-screen brothers who will battle out each other in a martial arts tournament.

"I don't know about Martial arts... I am incapable of directing a film like 'Brothers'. I can't make a film like this. Karan (Malhotra) has done a brilliant job. This film will see never-before-seen avatar of Jackie, Akshay, Sidharth and Jacqueline Fernandez," he said.

Karan and Malhotra have earlier worked in Hrithik Roshan-starrer "Agneepath".

As a producer, Karan insists he is not running behind any one particular genre but his focus is on "content".

The "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" director, who is known for his family dramas, said Indian cinema has seen many movies made on siblings.

Karan and Akshay are teaming up for the first time with the project. The duo was earlier supposed to work on a film that was to be directed by Punit Malhotra but things did not materialise.

"It is not about making right film but a better film.

I am happy and proud that Akshay is a part of 'Brothers'," he said.

When asked Akshay whether actors cut down on remuneration to do a content-driven film, he said actors should turn producers.

"Brothers" is slated to release on August 14.
