First photos of Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor from sets of Dhadak

On Friday, Karan Johar shared the first glimpse of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar from the sets of Dhadak. The crew is stationed in Udaipur and is accompanied by Sridevi and designer Manish Malhotra

After creating a lot of buzz and the right one for the film 'Dhadak', filmmaker Karan Johar has finally shared the first photos of Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor from the sets of 'Dhadak'. The team kick-started shoot for this film on Friday, December 1, in Udaipur. Today, early morning, the team offered prayers and took blessings from God before they said 'action'.

Karan Johar took to Twitter make this announcement and shared a beautiful still from the set. He wrote, "The journey of #DHADAK begins today!! JAHNVI and ISHAAN .....@ShashankKhaitan (sic)."

The leading lady is accompanied by her beautiful actress mother, Sridevi and the most loved Bollywood designer, Manish Malhotra. The designer took to his Instagram account to share the picture. Janhvi, Sridevi, and Manish, they all looked over overjoyed in the picture.

After the now successful Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, Janhvi and Ishaan are the new protégés of Karan Johar. 'Dhadak' is a remake of the blockbuster Marathi film 'Sairaat', which touch-based upon the issue of caste and honour killing. However, talking to PTI, Karan had said that he'll be giving an urban touch to the film and will be set in the backdrop of Udaipur. "The basic premise (of Dhadak and Sairat) is same. But there are variations." Talking about the fresh cast he's working with, he said: "Janhvi and Ishaan are great people and are very hard working. These are the two things that I always look for in actors," told Johar to PTI.

The film, helmed by 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' director Shashank Khaitan, is slated for a July 6, 2018, release.
