Railways pacer Karan Thakur created history by becoming the first bowler in the CK Nayudu Trophy (BCCI U-25) to take all 10 wickets in an innings against Baroda in Vadodara on Saturday.

The 23-year-old Delhi lad finished with figures of 28.5-5-77-10 but his team lost the match by 10 wickets.

Thakur, who has been regularly training at the MRF Pace Academy and also had sessions with Aussie great Glenn McGrath, told PTI: “I have been fortunate to have interacted with McGrath sir a couple of times at the academy.

He gave me some invaluable tips on channel bowling and using subtle variations. My strength is bowling out-swingers.”
