Interestingly now, Karisma Kapoor will join the bandwagon of B-Town stars including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Mallika Sherawat, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor who have posed at the renowned film festival in France in the past. Lolo will apparently head to Cannes with her new film Dangerous Ishq.
Says director Vikram Bhatt, "We are aiming at showcasing the film at Cannes, but nothing is 100 per cent confirmed as of now." Though Kareena may not have made it to the French Riviera yet, her big sister seems to have scored one up on her by managing to grab a spot with her comeback film.
Says a source, "This is one of the reasons Karisma has been working out regularly and maintaining her body. This would be her first international event in a long time and she wants to look her best."
Like Mani Ratnam's Raavan, Dangerous Ishq too will be premiered at Cannes. Points out the source, "Dangerous Ishq is a very ambitious film for both Vikram and Karisma and Cannes is obviously a great platform to showcase the film. It is a full-fledged Bollywood thriller, so clearly it won't be part of the competition section.
But the producers are aiming to make it a big affair as it would be the first time the film would be screened in public."
