Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan starrer 'Phantom', which was being delayed for a long time now is finally all set to release. The actress is busy dubbing for the project at the moment.
A source says, “Katrina is shooting for 'Jagga Jasoos' alongside Ranbir Kapoor and is also dubbing for 'Phantom'. The film was delayed due to post-production work and also because the makers were not getting the perfect release date.”
Kat confirms the news and says, “Yes, the film is ready for release and will hit theatres on August 28."
Reportedly, 'Phantom' is centered on global terrorism and incorporates the infamous terror strike on Mumbai. Earlier, the buzz doing the rounds of industry circles was that a few portions of the film were similar to the Akshay Kumar starrer 'Baby', and thus the makers of 'Phantom' had to tweak the script, leading to the project being delayed. A source says, “There was no such issue with the film’s shoot. The release date was pushed ahead due to technical reasons.”
Meanwhile, it is said that Katrina, who was approached for a Gauri Shinde film recently, has not signed the film as of now. A source says, “Katrina is busy shooting for 'Jagga Jasoos' and 'Fitoor' simultaneously, and has not taken up any project at the moment.”
