Slit throat of biz partner and set body ablaze after relationship soured
Killers are not always afraid of the police. Many even walk up to the police station to file FIRs for crimes they commit.
R Hemanth Kumar (33),u00a0 who allegedly murdered his partner C Mohan (50), a chief engineer in the Small Irrigation department, Bijapur, is one such killer, according to the police.
Charred body
Mohan's charred body was found in a forest near R Byadarahalli village. "Kumar accompanied Mohan's wife to the police station to file a complaint after he husband went missing. During the investigations, we began suspecting him.

Kumar was a driver with Mohan's brother-in-law and later became business partners. Kumar began Pioneer Marketing Distributors at H Siddaiah Road with Mohan's money.
Misunderstandings
"After some time there was some misunderstanding between the two and Mohan demanded his money back. Hemanth was in no position to return anything.

If he had to do so, he would have to shut down his business. It was then that Hemanth planned to wipe out Mohan," he said.
On February 27, at around 8.30 pm, Hemanth kidnapped Mohan near Tata Motors to the West of Chord Road, Second Block.
He took Mohan in his Safari to Anjanapura of Ramanagar taluk and slit his throat with a knife.
He then drove with the body to a forest near Huliyurdurga Hobli's R Byadarahalli village. There he poured petrol on the body and set it ablaze.
When Hemanth was questioned by the police, he spilled the beans and led the police to the place where he had burnt Mohan's body.
